I adore Don McCullin’s work. Since his career began in 1959, his uncompromising black and white photographs have depicted beautifully, the downtrodden and impoverished. Shaped by war, his work has helped raise awareness and understanding. He has a real connection with his subjects which immediately lets you connect and empathise. Throughout his career, his examination of the underside of society has produced an honest and interesting collection.
